New members join National Mango Board

The National Mango Board has two new members and four returning members.

The National Mango Board has two new members and four returning members.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture appointed the six members, whose three-year terms begin in January, according to a news release.

The members are:

  • Richard Campbell, Homestead, Fla., importer (new member);
  • James Watson, Edinburg, Texas, importer (new member);
  • Marsela McGrane-Vogel, San Pedro, Calif., importer;
  • Eddy Rene Martinez Moran, Guatemala, foreign grower;
  • Norberto Galvan Gonzales, Chiapas, Mexico, foreign grower; and
  • Joaquin Balarezo Valdez, Piura, Peru, foreign grower.

Chris Ciruli, Tubac, Ariz., and Jiovani Guevara, Phoenix, have completed six-year terms on the board.

Manuel Michel, National Mango Board executive director, welcomed the members to the board.

“They are joining a very active organization that is engaged in supporting the mango industry during a time of dynamic change,” Michel said in the release.
