The National Mango Board has two new members and four returning members.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture appointed the six members, whose three-year terms begin in January, according to a news release.
The members are:
- Richard Campbell, Homestead, Fla., importer (new member);
- James Watson, Edinburg, Texas, importer (new member);
- Marsela McGrane-Vogel, San Pedro, Calif., importer;
- Eddy Rene Martinez Moran, Guatemala, foreign grower;
- Norberto Galvan Gonzales, Chiapas, Mexico, foreign grower; and
- Joaquin Balarezo Valdez, Piura, Peru, foreign grower.
Chris Ciruli, Tubac, Ariz., and Jiovani Guevara, Phoenix, have completed six-year terms on the board.
Manuel Michel, National Mango Board executive director, welcomed the members to the board.
“They are joining a very active organization that is engaged in supporting the mango industry during a time of dynamic change,” Michel said in the release.
