Ocean Mist Farms hires Mark Munger as senior director of marketing

Produce industry veteran Mark Munger has joined artichoke grower Ocean Mist Farms as its next senior director of marketing.

Castroville, Calif.-based artichoke grower Ocean Mist Farms has added Mark Munger to its team as senior director of marketing. Munger brings with him deep produce industry experience spanning over three decades. In his new role, Munger will be charged with leading the day-to-day management of trade and consumer marketing initiatives at Ocean Mist Farms.

“Bringing on a professional of this caliber to lead our marketing team ushers in an exciting time at our company,” Rick Bravo, vice president of sales and marketing at Ocean Mist Farms said in a news release. “With his proven track record and experience in produce marketing, Mark will bring immediate value to Ocean Mist Farms and the marketing and sales teams. His skill set will be instrumental in our overall success.”

Prior to accepting the position at Ocean Mist Farms, Munger served as vice president of marketing and strategy for over nine years at Los Angeles-based 4Earth Farms. Before his time at 4Earth Farms, he served as vice president of marketing at Andrew Williamson Fresh Produce. Munger’s career also includes marketing experience at Driscoll’s, the Produce Marketing Association and other California commodity boards. Munger earned his Bachelor of Science in agricultural science and management from the University of California, Davis.
