What is the single most urgent shift the produce industry must make today to ensure it remains sustainable and profitable in 2030 and beyond?

“We need to invest more in data throughout the whole supply chain to support precision tactics that better utilize our increasingly scarce resources. The healthcare field has evolved in leveraging new data sources for precision medicine, and we need to do the same in produce. At Oasis Dates, we’ve made major investments in new technologies and data tracking to improve yields, water efficiencies, better quality controls — all of which leads to the best quality dates for our customers and consumers.”

Adam Cooper is the CEO of Oasis Dates, North America’s largest date company.

Since 2023, he has built a vertically integrated date operation that spans 5,000 farming acres, 500,000 square feet of processing facilities, and the brand’s commercial division and consumer products.

Cooper was previously the senior vice president of marketing at The Wonderful Company for eight years, where he helped build a multibillion-dollar portfolio of iconic brands, including Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Halos, and POM Wonderful. He also introduced many new capabilities at the company, including consumer and trade insights, category development and innovation.

Prior to The Wonderful Company, he was a management consultant at McKinsey, serving clients across the world in consumer packaged goods, retail and media.
