Schmieding Produce appoints president

Schmieding Produce has promoted Trent Woerner to president of the company.

Woerner succeeds his father, Lester Woerner, at the Springdale, Ark., company, according to a news release. He joined Schmieding produce as vice president of business development in 2015 when it was acquired by Woerner Holdings.

“As the company realigns its management team, in order to effectively execute its future growth plans, Trent represents the next generation of leadership at Schmieding,”Woerner Holdings chairman Lester Woerner said in the release. “Over the past several years, Trent has worked directly with me on decision making at the highest level.”

Trent Woerner has worked with his father in the family’s agricultural enterprise since childhood, according to the release.
