This summer, produce brands are leaning into America’s 250th anniversary packaging and merchandising to give retailers an extra sales boost. Here’s a brief roundup of some of the offerings.

Washington Fruit Growers

Washington Fruit Growers will offer a limited-time Stars and Stripes cherry bag, available for the two weeks leading up to the Fourth of July in celebration. The Stars and Stripes bag features the American flag and the company’s longtime logo, the Liberty Bell.

This packaging is a natural fit, the company says, as the Liberty Bell and Independent brand have been central to its story for more than 100 years. Washington Fruit Growers began using the Liberty Bell in the 1930s. Today, the company says the Liberty Bell embodies its family-owned legacy with a deep commitment to sustainable farming practices and protecting the land for future generations.

Bolthouse Fresh Foods

Bolthouse Fresh Foods has launched a limited-time 12-ounce Party Sticks, fresh carrots in patriotic packaging to align with Fourth of July celebrations, Labor Day and the FIFA World Cup. Patriotic Party Sticks will be available for shipment from late June through early September 2026.

Featuring a waving flag graphic, a royal blue brand shield, and red, white and blue star accents, the packaging is built to attract shopper attention from across the aisle, according to the company.

Bolthouse Fresh Foods says the carrot Party Sticks are well positioned for snacking occasions, including veggie platters, cookouts, tailgates, and backyard gatherings.

“Summer is one of the biggest opportunities in the produce department, and carrot Party Sticks were designed to help retailers make the most of it,” says Kim St George, vice president of sales and marketing at Bolthouse Fresh Foods. “The patriotic packaging gives shoppers a reason to grab it off the shelf, and the format fits naturally into the entertaining occasions, driving traffic all summer long.”
