Explore you-pick farms with Georgia Grown’s new map

In addition to promoting agritourism, the Georgia Department of Agriculture is tapping into retail partnerships to highlight the state’s in-season produce.

The Georgia Department of Agriculture plans to continue its retail promotion with IGA supermarkets this summer and has released its 2025 Georgia Grown You-Pick Agritourism Map, said Matthew Kulinski, director of marketing for the department of agriculture.

The IGA promotion highlights Georgia Grown fruits and vegetables that are in season throughout the state.

“It’s a great opportunity to educate shoppers on what’s local, what’s fresh and what’s uniquely Georgia Grown,” Kulinski said.

The department also has kicked off the second year of its peach promotion in partnership with the Kroger Co.

“This program will run across hundreds of stores throughout the Midwest, expanding awareness of Georgia peaches beyond our borders and creating a special market for Georgia peaches,” Kulinski said.

The new Georgia Grown You-Pick Agritourism Map is touted as “your ultimate guide to fresh, hands-on farm adventures across the state.” The map highlights more than 30 Georgia Grown member farms where visitors can “pick their own produce, savor seasonal flavors and connect with the land.”

“Georgia fruits and vegetables are known for their exceptional quality, thanks to our unique climate, generous growing season and generations of farming expertise,” Kulinski said.
