Fresh produce importer Jac. Vandenberg says it has launched its Sunrays California grape program, making the grape brand available year-round.

The Sunrays grapes program is known for featuring preferred proprietary varieties that boast high Brix levels and consistent quality, the company said in a news release. The specifications are upheld by quality control personnel stationed at both the origin and destination points, ensuring that consumers receive only the grapes that meet the Sunrays standard, the release said.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer our customers Sunrays premium grapes throughout the entire year,” said Jac. Vandenberg Vice President Michael Schiro. “This expansion reflects our dedication to providing the highest quality produce and our ability to adapt and grow in response to market demands.”

Gerstenberger brings extensive experience in both the supply and retail sides of the fresh produce industry, positioning her as a key asset in driving the continued growth of both Jac. Vandenberg and the Sunrays brand, the release said.

“We are excited to welcome Caitlin to our team,” Schiro said. “Her expertise and deep industry knowledge will help us expand our footprint in the marketplace and strengthen our relationships with partners and customers.”

Following the California grape season, Jac. Vandenberg will transition into offering Sunrays grapes from Spain and then Peru, ensuring that consumers continue to receive the premium quality of Sunrays grapes throughout the year.
