The National Mango Board has launched Origin Stories, which it describes as “a collection of micro-documentaries that reveal new layers of the mango’s epic journey, told by the people who live it, in communities around the world.”

Documenting the farm-to-table journey of a mango, the new series has launched with micro-documentaries on Mexico, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. The website also includes mango recipes from each locale.

Micro-documentaries on Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Guatemala and Florida are set to debut in the fourth quarter of 2022 through the second quarter of 2023, Trish Bramley, director of marketing for the National Mango Board told The Packer in an email.

“Mangos are delicious, nutritious and versatile, but that’s only the beginning of their impressive story,” says the Origin Stories website. “There’s so much more to tell. From the land where mangos are grown, to the food cultures that mangos shape around the world, discover what makes the mango so magnificent, in this continually growing series.”
