Sliced Mushrooms Sold in Ontario, Quebec Recalled

Wiet Peeters Farm Products recalled its sliced mushrooms sold to the general public and foodservice following a Canadian Food Inspection Agency test result.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a news release that Wiet Peeters Farm Products Ltd. recalled its sliced mushrooms due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination triggered by agency test results.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said it will conduct a food safety investigation, which could lead to the recall of other products.

The products were distributed to foodservice as well as the general public in Ontario and Quebec.

The products include Peeters Mushroom Farm’s:

  • Thin Sliced Mushrooms, 2.27 kilograms
  • Sliced Mushrooms, 227 grams with a UPC of 033383676005 and a best before date of July 4, 2025
  • Cremini Sliced, 227 grams with a UPC of 068414969603 and a best before date of July 4, 2025
