Expect a “berry boom” in the coming month, says Watsonville, Calif.-based Well-Pict Berries, which is expecting promotable volumes through May after enduring a series of storms.

“All three of our growing regions will be producing good volume,” Dan Crowley, Well-Pict vice president of sales and marketing, said in a news release. “Oxnard, Santa Maria and Watsonville have been delayed due to the strong winter storms but will peak with strong production and promotable volumes through May.”

Well-Pict will showcase its premium, proprietary conventional and organic strawberries and conventional raspberries at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association trade show April 25-27 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Attendees can visit Well-Pict at booth No. 1011 to “learn more about how our berries are grown for superior size, color, shine, and flavor,” the company said in the release.

Trade show hours are scheduled for 1:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27. Those unable to visit the Well-Pict booth who are interested in strawberries and raspberries sales inquiries can contact Crowley at dan@wellpict.com.

Well-Pict is also offering free merchandising resources for the upcoming summer season through its digital retail POS kit.
