Williams Farms Repack recalls tomatoes

The Food and Drug Administration said the recall of tomatoes from H&C Farms is due to potential contamination with Salmonella.

The Food and Drug Administration said Williams Farms Repack tomatoes with H&C Farms Labels is due to a potential contamination with Salmonella.

The FDA said the Southeast Tomato Distributors notified Williams Farms Repack that tomatoes supplied by H&C Farms could be contaminated, but no illnesses have been reported.

The recalled products were distributed in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina between April 23 and April 28.

Products affected in the recall are:

  • 5x6 25-pound with a lot code of R4467
  • 6x6 25-pound with lot codes of R4467, R4470
  • 4x4 two-layer with a lot code of R4467
  • 4x5 two-layer with a lot code of R4467
  • 60 count two-layer with a lot code of R4467
  • 60 count 18-pound loose with lot codes of R4467, R4470
  • XL 18-pound loose with a lot code of R4467
  • 3-count trays with a lot code of R4467
