The smells of Christmas: gingerbread, peppermint, pine needles … tropical fruit?

Some lucky Del Monte Fresh Produce fans are wrapping presents in pineapple- and banana-scented paper. The company gave away almost 100 sets of the special wrapping paper Dec. 17 to the first people who e-mailed the company.

Del Monte announced the holiday give-away on social media platforms.

It’s the second consumer give-away of the season from the company. Earlier in December, Del Monte Fresh sponsored an Instant Pot sweepstakes on Instagram. Entries were accompanied by pictures of snowmen made with the company’s products.

Del Monte Fresh is also using holiday-themed tags on bananas and pineapples in produce departments.
