MONTEREY, Calif. — Apple Nachos, a new product from Stockton, Calif.-based Fresh Innovations California LLC, incorporates versions with caramel, pretzel bits, fresh apple slices, peanut butter and chocolate.

Henry Webb, sales manager for foodservice for the company, said the item is shipping out to retailers this week.

While Fresh Innovations featured the product at the Foodservice Conference Expo because of its impending launch, Webb said the product is a better fit for retail.

“There have been a couple of people that had interest in using it in (foodservice), but it wasn’t built for it,” he said.
