Ontario-based greenhouse grower Pure Flavor is positioning itself within arm’s reach of nearly half the U.S. and Canadian populations with the opening of a new, 200,000-square-foot fully refrigerated distribution center in Romulus, Mich. The strategic Midwestern hub is designed to slash food miles and fast-track fresh produce deliveries to retail and foodservice buyers, the compay says.

The Romulus facility is strategically located within a 500-mile radius of nearly half the U.S. and Canadian populations, helping streamline logistics, reduce transit times and support faster, more reliable delivery across key markets, the company says. The new hub also strengthens Pure Flavor’s broader supply chain network, supporting continued growth and evolving customer demand across North America.

“Romulus gives us the expanded capacity and positioning to serve customers faster and more efficiently across the Midwest and beyond,” says Jeff Moracci, president of Pure Flavor. “By optimizing our distribution footprint, we’re improving responsiveness, simplifying logistics and building the infrastructure needed to support long-term growth.”

The fully refrigerated distribution center supports streamlined receiving, cold storage and outbound shipping, helping ensure freshness and reliability from greenhouse to customer, the company says.

With this expanded footprint in Michigan, Pure Flavor continues to invest in a supply chain designed for performance, sustainability, and long-term partnership.

The company expects the Romulus distribution center to play a key role in supporting customer growth across the region, strengthening day-to-day service levels, and enhancing network efficiency as Pure Flavor continues to scale across North America.
