Be the holiday plant-based destination with help from Frieda’s
Los Alamitos, Calif.-based Frieda’s is offering solutions for plant-based eating during the holiday season.
Frieda’s wants to be sure shoppers have the option to shop a variety of items, as 60% of people say they are more likely to include at least one plant-based main dish this year than in the past, according to a news release.
“As more shoppers are looking for meatless main dish alternatives, it’s important for retailers to make plant-based foods a focus in their stores,” Alex Berkley, director of sales for Frieda’s, said in the release. “Frieda’s Colored Cauliflower is a great option for holiday main dishes such as whole roasted colored cauliflower with salsa verde. Cauliflower continues to explode in popularity and adding colored cauliflower to your produce set will keep you on trend with consumers.”
Also, with “Friendsgiving” celebrations increasing in popularity among millennials, Thanksgiving now consists of multiple meals giving shoppers more opportunities to buy and cook, according to the release.
Frieda’s suggests retailers add signage and recipe cards for displays of plant-based dish ideas, according to the release.
