“The Nutcracker” is a mainstay of the holiday season, and California Walnuts has partnered with the Sacramento Ballet’s 2024 Nutcracker production. The organization has been a presenting sponsor of the performance since 2022.

“We’re overjoyed to celebrate Nutcracker in our 70th season with the unwavering support of California Walnuts as our presenting sponsor and Nugget Market[s] to engage shoppers and encourage them to attend this season’s enchanting Nutcracker performances,” Anthony Krutzkamp, artistic and executive director of Sacramento Ballet, said in a news release. “This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the warm embrace of the Sacramento community and support from local walnut growers across Northern California who make SacBallet’s Nutcracker a treasured local yuletide tradition year after year.”

“Like walnuts, ‘The Nutcracker’ is synonymous with the holiday season. Especially here in Sacramento, since many walnut growers are proud to call the Central Valley home,” Robert Verloop, CEO of California Walnuts, said in a release. “We’re proud to extend the magic of the season to local consumers with our retail partner Nugget Market[s].”

California Walnuts also launched a new integrated campaign that inspires consumers to “Tis the Seasoning,” the release said. Retailers interested in walnut promotion opportunities can find more information at walnuts.org/retail.
