Chelan, Wash.-based Chelan Fresh Marketing continues to expand its supplier base, said Tim Evans, general sales manager.

“We continue to expand our grower base and have great volumes of rainier and red cherries for any retail customer to get started early and finish late,” he said.

“We have focused a lot on building our early and late varieties to get started as early as anyone and can take customers very late in the deal.”

Chelan Fresh Marketing is working on increasing sales of its proprietary variety, the Orondo Ruby Cherry, which is available from about June 20 to July 10, Evans said.
