Cucumbers reign on PMG — but here comes jicama

Cucumbers and beans maintained their No. 1 and No. 2 spots on Produce Market Guide last week, with yellow plums rising three places to No. 3.

Cucumbers and beans maintained their No. 1 and No. 2 spots on Produce Market Guide last week, with yellow plums rising three places to No. 3, figs maintaining the No. 4 spot, and crenshaw melons gaining two to complete the top five.

The PMG platform connects produce buyers and sellers. Below, find the top 20 searched commodities on PMG July 15-21.

Peaches rose two spots to land at No. 6, and blackberries slipped two places to No. 7. Beets rose to No. 8 from No. 10 the previous week, and mangoes held on at No. 9. Lettuce gained two places to complete the top 10.

Manzano bananas shot up five spaces to No. 11, and watermelon rose six to No. 12. Dragon fruit reappeared on the list at No. 13, while 8 ball squash climbed to No. 14 from No. 20 the week before, bumping apples to No. 15.

Herbs rejoined the list at No. 16, and jicama made an appearance at No. 17. Chili peppers also came back to the list, at No. 18, and potatoes rejoined at No. 19. Lemons also came back, at No. 20.
