The 2020 Global Cleantech 100 list is recognizing two indoor leafy greens growers, a produce shelf life extension technology and a company that’s placing “farms” in stores and restaurants.

For 11 years, the list from the Cleantech Group has recognized sustainability in agriculture and other industries. This year’s list includes:

AeroFarms, Newark, N.J., which made the list three years in a row;
Infarm, Berlin, which has growing systems at more than 200 stores and restaurants globally (including two Seattle-area QFCs);
Apeel Sciences, Goleta, Calif., which has proprietary coatings for fresh produce that prolong shelf life; and
Plenty, San Francisco, developer of high-tech vertical farms.

“Since Day One, AeroFarms was formed to have a positive impact in society and feed humanity, keeping in mind all of the stakeholders from the environment to our community to our investors to our customers,” AeroFarms CEO and co-founder David Rosenberg said in a news release.
