Hitchcock Farms acquires Brussels sprouts grower Pfyffer Associates

The acquisition broadens Hitchcock Farms’ position as a supplier of Brussels sprouts in North America, according to a news release.

Pfyffer Associates has grown Brussels sprouts for 45 years, marketing them under the Ernie’s Pride and Pfyffer labels. The company now grows for Hitchcock Farms.

“Hitchcock’s state-of-the-art packing facility in Salinas will provide enhanced benefits to the operation going forward, and allow us to continue providing a steady supply of high-quality Brussels sprouts to our combined customer base,” Steve Bontadelli, president of Pfyffer Associates, said.
