Mastronardi offering organic Angel Sweet grape tomatoes

Kingsville, Ontario-based Mastronardi Produce has added its Angel Sweet grape tomato to its organic lineup.

Organic Angel Sweets are now at stores in the U.S. and Canada, according to a news release. The company markets under the Sunset brand.

“Snacking is the fastest-growing tomato segment. with Angel Sweet driving one of the largest growth factors in that segment this past year,” CEO Paul Mastronardi said in the release. “Organics continues to thrive within the snacking category as well, and I believe will only continue to trend with consumers for years to come. Offering the fastest-growing snacking brand in organic is a win-win for retailers and consumers alike.”

The product is ideal for snacking and salads and can be implemented in numerous recipes as well, according to the release.
Mastronardi said the variety has received honors including the Superior Taste Award from the International Taste and Quality Institute.
