Naturipe Farms has debuted Mighty Reds jumbo strawberries, which it says are “bigger in size, taste and sweetness.”

“These delicious berries are so big, we can barely fit two in our hand. The bigger the Naturipe berry, the more there is to slice, share and eat,” Naturipe Farms Vice President of Sales Jerry Moran said in a news release. “We are so excited to see the hard work, dedication and commitment of our growers pay off in such a big way. Retailers may need to build bigger shelves to hold these ginormous berries and shoppers should get ready for big flavor in these sweet and juicy jumbo berries.”

Mighty Reds come in a new single-layer, 20-ounce clamshell. The sustainable packaging, created to hold up to 15 strawberries, features a wash-away label.

“These premium strawberries will be available for a limited time, so retailers won’t want to miss the opportunity to add these berries to their shelves,” Naturipe Farms said in the release.

Mighty Reds joins Naturipe Farms’ proprietary big blueberries, Mighty Blues, in the company’s line of extra-large berries. Both are vibrant in color and “pack a massive burst of flavor that will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth,” according to the release.

“Naturipe Farms is always looking for new and innovative ways to deliver great tasting and good-for-you berries that customers have come to expect from Naturipe,” Jim Roberts, president of sales, said in the release. “We are confident that consumers will find our Mighty Reds to be the sweetest, biggest and best strawberries around!”

Might Reds strawberries are hand-picked by Naturipe Farms’ California growers in Oxnard, Santa Maria, Salinas and Watsonville.
