Prices for cantaloupe around the nation ranged from $1.48 to $4.99 each on June 16, according to U.S. Marketing Services. Each week the firm looks at prices for a particular commodity at four retailers in eight major cities across the U.S.

On June 16, cantaloupe prices averaged $3.09 each, with fruit on ad at seven of the 31 stores surveyed, according to the firm.
