Rockit apples, known for their small size, are now available year-round from Chelan Fresh.

Chelan Fresh, Chelan, Wash., is launching a marketing campaign that focuses on the apple’s qualities, according to a news release, including as a “pocket-sized treat” for children and adults.

“The first thing people notice about Rockit apples is their adorable and convenient size, but that is not the only thing that sets them apart from other apples,” Julie DeJarnatt, director of retail strategy for Chelan Fresh, said in the release. “We are thrilled to see people’s excitement when they taste the difference and discover the nutritional benefits wrapped up in a small package.”

The apples come out of storage in “excellent” condition, according to Chelan Fresh, and stay crisp for up to six weeks when refrigerated.

Rockits are also popular for baking, according to the company, which has recipes on its website.

The company also has a tool to find retailers that carry Rockit and other Chelan Fresh products.
