This season has been sweet for the Sweet Carnival grape.

Sunview Marketing International, Delano, Calif., introduced the proprietary grape at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in 2018, and will be showcasing it at this year’s expo, Oct. 18-19 at booth No. 1183.

It’s the first year of commercial volumes for the grape.

“It has been an exciting first season so far for Sweet Carnival,” Mitch Wetzel, vice president of sales at Sunview Marketing. “It has exceeded our and our customers’ expectations. We are looking forward and planning next season, already.”

Sunview’s Sweet Carnival is driving incremental category growth and margin, according to the company.

“We have been supporting the brand with innovative and compelling social media marketing,” Wetzel said in an e-mail.

Distribution of Sweet Carnival lasts through the third week of November.
