Terphane offers packaging options at Fresh Summit booth

Bloomfield, N.Y.-based Terphane, a polyester films manufacturing company, is showcasing three solutions for produce companies at the Produce Marketing Association’s virtual Fresh Summit.

Bloomfield, N.Y.-based Terphane, a polyester films manufacturing company, is showcasing three solutions for produce companies at the Produce Marketing Association’s virtual Fresh Summit.

Through its virtual booth, according to a news release, the company is highlighting:

  • Sealphane PET films, which addressing a growing demand for tamper-evident, multi-use lidding solutions,
  • Sealphane Reseal, a transparent film with thermal stability and mechanical properties that seals many different substrates while providing an effective barrier to gas, water vapor and aromas; and
  • Ecophane, the company’s sustainable line of PET films containing at least 30% post-consumer recycled PET.

“The purpose is to present Terphane´s portfolio of innovative solutions in PET films for the fresh produce market, mainly fruits and vegetables,” Marcos Vieira, global research and development director, said in the release.

All Terphane films for flexible packaging are aligned with the demands of fresh produce, according to the release. They help maximize a product’s shelf life, reduce food waste and increase value for consumers, according to the release.
