Giant/Martin partners with Children's Miracle Network
Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets donated nearly $600,000 to the Children's Miracle Network through its annual balloon campaign.
July's Our Family Foundation Golf Tournament and the Giant Celebrity Putting Contest raised an additional $10,500 for CMN, according to a news release.
"This year marks our 20th anniversary of supporting CMN," said Tom Lenkevich, Giant/Martin's president, in the release. Lenkevich said that the customers, associates and vendors together have raised more than $41 million.
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support children's hospitals across North America. Giant/Martin's operates hundreds of grocery stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, and seven children's hospitals across those states benefited from the company's balloon campaign.
