The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed an administrative complaint against Farm Fresh Packers LLC.

The USDA alleges Farm Fresh Packers, Pompano Beach, Fla., repeatedly violated the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, failing to pay $309,860 to four produce sellers from July 2017 to November 2018.

The company can request a hearing to refute the USDA, according to a news release. if the agency decides Farm Fresh Packers violated the PACA, it would be barred from the industry for at least two years, if it receives approval for a PACA license from USDA.

The USDA can also ban the company’s principals from being employed or affiliated with a PACA licensee for two years, or one year with a USDA-approved surety bond.
