Seald Sweet touts ‘more than citrus’ theme, debuts Avo’Bites

At its virtual exhibit at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit, Vero Beach, Fla.-based Seald Sweet International/Greenyard USA focused on the message the supplier is “more than citrus.”

“We have expanded our product basket and strive to provide the best solutions and alternatives to our customers,” said Helena Fernandez-Irastorza, marketing coordinator of Seald Sweet. “Our new product this year was the Avo’Bites, a single-serving mini avocados pack.”

With year-round availability and ripening available upon request, Avo’Bites are 84-count Mexican hass avocados in a 6-count bag, loaded in McAllen, Texas.

Seald Sweet also promoted Mexican lychees,, which ship bulk in 10-pound volume-filled cartons, 8-ounce and 24-ounce clamshells. Availability is expected from mid-May through the end of June.

While lacking the sensory experiences of an in-person event, the virtual Fresh Summit was a good opportunity to network, learn and connect from our offices with people around the world, she said. “(It was) a totally different experience but the best solution amongst the challenges.”
