The extended family of the late Joe DeLorenzo gathered with other Eastern Produce Council families for the third annual event in DeLorenzo's honor.
Eastern Produce Council members and their families remembered the late EPC president Joe DeLorenzo at the annual apple-picking event created in his honor.
The festivities included hay rides, apple picking, cider, donuts, grilled corn on the cob, hot dogs and fresh popcorn, according to a news release.
The EPC inducted DeLorenzo into its hall of fame in 2012. He had served as vice president and president of the organization during his career.
The event was at Melick’s Family Farm, Oldwick, N.J., on Sept. 30.
DeLorenzo, who was a longtime EPC member, died in November 2014. He was president of White Plains, N.Y.-based Alpha One Marketing Co./Krasdale Foods.
