Ten Acre Marketing has hired Angela Sommers, a marketing veteran with a substantial resume under her belt to prove it, into the role of account supervisor.

Most recently, Sommers was the director of marketing and communications for BelleHarvest, where she led marketing efforts for the sales organization.

Growing up as a sixth-generation member of her family’s apple farm, Sommers' passion for sustainability shows through in her experience supporting retail partners in the development of sustainable packaging solutions.

“Angela brings elevated retail and consumer marketing strategy to our team, with years of positioning Michigan apples in a highly competitive category,” Mary Coppola Heslep, senior vice president at Ten Acre Marketing, said in a news release. “Her passion to deliver sustainability solutions will create new opportunities for our clients across the produce supply chain.”

A member of Michigan Pomesters’ board of directors, Sommers also serves as chair of the U.S. Apple communications committee.

“Angela is joining the team at an important moment for Ten Acre Marketing, as we have experienced double-digit growth over the last year,” Leah Halverson, founder and CEO of Ten Acre Marketing, said in the release. “It’s an absolute honor to welcome  Angela to our growing account services team. She is a perfect fit for us, broadening our capabilities to position brands and advance agriculture.”
