Earl’s, Crespo Organic Mangoes partner in promotion

Through a regional distribution partnership, Rio Rico, Ariz.-based Crespo Organic Mangoes and San Francisco’s Earl’s Organic Produce have scheduled Summer Mango Mania to promote organic mangoes at retailers in Northern California between June 15 and Aug. 15.

The campaign is timed at peak production of the two largest Mexican mango-producing states, Nayarit and Sinaloa. Crespo Organic is part of El Grupo Crespo, a Mexican family mango business in Rosario, Mexico. Crespo grows, packs, ships and markets directly to distributors and retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Earl’s Organic Produce is a wholesale distribution business that organic enthusiast Earl Herrick started nearly 30 years ago.

During Summer Mango Mania, the Crespo-Earl’s partnership will provide San Francisco-area retailers with lower prices and numerous “interactive experiences,” including demos, kitchen tips, recipes, cooking classes and education about seven mango varieties.

The campaign includes a digital component from Earl’s, Crespo and Northern California retailers. Social media education and contests will be strewn throughout the promotion, offering digital supporters a chance to win an array of prizes, Herrick said. Earl’s also will have a display contest.
