Tanimura & Antle adds to sales, service team

Salinas, Calif.-based Tanimura & Antle has hired Amy Voogd Pemberton as director of retail, vendor-managed inventory and delivered sales, Sybil Chapple as vendor-managed inventory and delivered sales manager, and Jason Arnaldo as transportation manager.

“I am delighted that we’re able to expand our sales and service team with such top industry talent,” Helena Beckett, senior director of retail, vendor-managed inventory and delivered sales, said in a news release. “We’ve always had one of the very best sales teams in the produce industry, and adding these outstanding professionals to the mix really takes our commitment to quality, service and innovation to a remarkable place.”

Sybil Chapple

Pemberton, a Salinas native, brings more than 20 years of experience, having previously worked for Earthbound Farm and Fresh Express. She has managed accounts including Costco, Kroger, Publix, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, according to the release.

Chapple, who worked for Tanimura & Antle from 2011 to 2016, returns to the company after a stint with Tessemae’s, where she assisted in the launch of the company’s organic salad kits.

Jason Arnaldo

Arnaldo has worked in fresh logistics for more than 15 years, including 13 years with Fresh Express and two years with Dole. His work has included leading projects to increase operational efficiency, overseeing hundreds of delivered shipments per week, and training employees.
