Produce for Kids contest awards retail dietitians

To commemorate the first anniversary of the We Heart RDs kit and National Nutrition Month (March), Produce for Kids is conducting an in-store display contest for retail dietitians who receive the monthly We Heart RDs resource kit.

"We've been receiving e-mails, tweets and Instagram posts from retail registered dietitians and nutritionists showing how they are displaying the provided resource materials in the We Heart RDs kit in store," Trish James, vice president of Produce for Kids, said in a news release. "We decided there was no better way to celebrate National Nutrition Month and the first anniversary of We Heart RDs than with an in-store display contest."

This month's kit contains a card that identifies in-season produce, recipes for in-season produce, "I'm a healthy eater" stickers as well as tips and seasonal information.

Winners of the contest will receive a $1,000 scholarship to attend the nutrition workshop or conference of their choice. To enter the content, retail dietitians can submit photos of their displays on social media with the hashtag #WeHeartRDs or via email to trish@produceforkids.com. Entries must use elements from the March kit and be submitted by March 31.
