Chile

Higher-than-normal temperatures early in the growing season and a slow accumulation of chilling hours caused a delay in Chile’s grape harvest and slowed overall volume, the USDA says in a new report.
U.S. imports of Chilean blueberries totaled 45,982 metric tons in 2022, up from 42,458 metric tons in 2021 and up from 42,608 metric tons in 2020.
Mandarin production is forecast to increase by 13.1%, according to a new USDA report.
The country’s avocado production in the marketing year from July 2024 to June 2025 is expected to be up 33.3% from the previous season.
