A hearing to decide the fate of a preliminary injunction by the Federal Trade Commission started this week.

As part of its support for health and wellness initiatives, the Valencia, Calif.-based citrus cooperative said the collaboration aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and provide valuable resources to those impacted by the disease.

The funded projects will aim to increase the consumption of domestic and organic agricultural products.

Competition from Canada and local sources means business can be a bit lighter during the summer. Nonetheless, spring and early summer this year “have been very, very busy and very productive,” said one executive.

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council says the program helps fellows grow their leadership skill set, learn from decades-long industry leaders and develop their network of connections.
