A Dole Food Co. promotion tied to Pixar Disney’s Incredibles 2 movie is called “Powering the Hero Within.”

The promotion launched May 24, which is National Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day. The Incredibles sequel will be released June 15.

The program features a new set of Incredibles 2-inspired breakfast, entrée, snack and drink recipes and useful healthy eating tips, according to a news release. The promotion will feature Incredibles character images on Dole bananas and pineapples throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“Dole is taking its cue from Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2 to provide the super recipes, serving suggestions and healthy-living tips that moms, dads and others need to positively impact family eating habits all summer long,” Bil Goldfield, director of corporate communications for Dole, said in the release.

The Incredibles 2 promotion is another chapter in Dole’s yearlong “Powering the Hero Within” (#DoleHero and #DoleFamily) initiative, according to the release. This summer, the promotion includes a 15-week healthy-eating collaboration with Incredibles 2.

Bloggers and social influencers are adding to the buzz about the heroic healthy message, according to the release. The promotion also will have a dedicated website at www.dole.com/Disney.

The promotion allows consumers to share photos on healthy eating, and for each photo uploaded between May 24 and Sept. 15, Dole has committed to make a $2 donation to Action for Healthy Kids to support the national nonprofit group, according to the release.
