Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than 1 ½ tons of marijuana in a fresh broccoli shipment as it crossed into the U.S. in Texas.

The 3,159 pounds of marijuana, packed into 378 packages, was detected May 16 when a commercial shipment of fresh broccoli from Mexico arrived at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility, according to a news release.

Officers referred the semi tractor-trailer for further inspection and found the marijuana concealed in the trailer. The marijuana is valued at $632,000, according to Customs and Border Protection.

The agency seized the broccoli and semi along with the marijuana, according to the release.
