Ark Foods launches Clean Label Salads

Ark Foods, Brooklyn, N.Y., is showcasing a new line, Clean Label Salads, at the Produce Marketing Association’s virtual Fresh Summit.

According to a news release, the four products include a leafy greens base, with these toppings:

  • Crunchy Kale Ranch: Brussels sprouts, chickpea croutons, pepitas, sun-dried tomatoes and plant- based ranch dressing;
  • Bright Pesto Greens: Golden beets, chickpea croutons, cashews, sun-dried tomatoes and vegan pesto dressing: 
  • Cashew Kale Caesar: Red cabbage, watermelon radish, chickpea croutons and plant-based Caesar dressing; and
  • Ginger Sesame Greens: Red carrots, red cabbage, pepitas, cashews and ginger sesame dressing.

The company also markets a line of heat and serve Veggie Bowls.

“Launching our Clean Label Salads at this time became even more important to us as we saw how customers adjusted to a new normal,” Noah Robbins, founder and CEO of Ark Foods, said in the release. “We’re proud to offer two full product lines to choose from when it comes to eating clean without steep costs or effort in the kitchen. We can’t wait to introduce these salads to customers.”

The salads range from 330-410 calories and have 13-18 grams of protein each.

They will be available early next year, with a suggested retail price of $4.99, according to the release.
