Lisa Fuentes leads food safety programs at Ocean Mist

Lisa Fuentes is the new director of food safety and quality assurance at Ocean Mist Farms, Castroville, Calif.

Lisa Fuentes is the new director of food safety and quality assurance at Ocean Mist Farms, Castroville, Calif.

Fuentes was most recently senior food safety manager at Driscoll’s, and has worked at the Nunes Co., Green Giant Fresh, River Ranch Fresh Foods and Scientific Certification Systems. She has almost two decades of experience in the industry, with a background in food safety and organic quality management, according to a news release.

She has been an inspector and auditor and in the private sector implementing food safety programs, according to the release.

“Her extensive knowledge of quality management and food integrity makes her a vital addition to our team,”

Chris Drew, vice president of operations at Ocean Mist Farms, said in the release.

Fuentes has a Bachelors of Science degree in Food Service and Technology and a Masters of Science degree in Business and Management, according to the release.
