Letter from the Editor — Welcome to PMG!

As you have probably figured out by now – especially if you've seen the cover of our March/April magazine – we have embarked on the next leg of the journey in our produce retail coverage. We’ve combined Produce Retailer and Produce Market Guide under the new brand PMG.

Produce Retailer and Produce Market Guide were both products of The Packer and Farm Journal and both designed to be great resources for retailers. Produce Market Guide, a platform built to connect buyers and sellers, was always intended to have original content, and now the same great articles you’ve been accustomed to seeing on ProduceRetailer.com will be here on ProduceMarketGuide.com.

We’ll continue to bring you news and analysis of the overall produce retail landscape, deep dives on merchandising and upcoming availability for various commodities, perspective pieces from industry contributors, photos that highlight great work being done in produce departments, and many other pieces of content that aim to inform and inspire.

New elements we’ll be adding include supplier spotlights, so you can get to know a little more some of the folks with whom you work, and some foodservice content, since eating out of home has been on the rise and more and more retailers are offering grab-and-go restaurant-style meals in their stores. (Obviously we're in an unprecedented situation currently with the coronavirus, so we don't know how that will change habits long-term.)

We so appreciate the support we’ve had from you throughout our years as Produce Retailer, and we hope you’ll continue with us on this next chapter as PMG.

As always, thanks for reading!

Ashley
