El Agave, doing business as Essential Food & Produce, Evansville, Ind., is the newest distributor member of national foodservice buying group Golbon, Boise, Idaho.
Essential Food & Produce was founded in 2010 by Adolfo Angel to supply a group of restaurants. Since then, it has grown in the number of units it services, and also extended business into street sales in greater Indianapolis and southern Indiana, according to a news release.
El Agave purchased another Golbon member this year, Mi Pueblo Foodservice. They continue to operate as separate companies, according to the release.
