GS1 US foodservice work groups seeking volunteers

Lawrenceville, N.J.-based GS1 US is inviting foodservice leaders to participate in reorganized Foodservice GS1 US Standards Initiative work groups.

"Participating in GS1 US Foodservice Initiative work groups gives companies the opportunity to provide input on evolving standards implementation guidelines that will affect their businesses going forward," Angela Fernandez, vice president of foodservice and retail grocery, GS1 US, said in a news release.

The work groups include:
  • Operational efficiencies work group;

  • Joint foodservice and retail grocery data quality work group;
  • Global Data Synchronization implementation work group;
  • Marketing work group; and
  • Traceability work group.
