The Produce Marketing Association is using a “restaurant week” theme for its digital Foodservice: Delivered conference.

The July 20-24 foodservice event, switched from an in-person event in Monterey, Calif., to the online content, has restaurant-themed programming throughout the week, allowing participants to select from a menu of options.

“PMA is eager to reconnect growers, business solution providers, chefs, menu planners, foodservice distributors and foodservice providers of all types,” Lauren M. Scott, chief marketing officer for PMA,” said in a news release. “By being bold, working together across the supply chain, and by exploring new ways to incorporate the Joy of Fresh produce into foodservice, we can help revitalize the foodservice industry and the communities they serve.”

Foodservice: Delivered “patrons” will find these options, according to the release:

  • Chef’s Menu: Main session featured topics each day, including global trends, menu development, consumer insights and innovating for the future.
  • Tasting Menu: Break-out sessions featuring short interactive experiences from different segments of foodservice, featuring PMA and guest speakers.
  • Solutions Sampling: Foodservice suppliers will showcase products and services through video demos; buyers and can connect directly with the exhibitors.
  • Chef’s Table: Provides a behind-the-scenes look on how produce can bring foodservice to life. Suppliers are encouraged to apply to showcase products, services and ideas, from virtual field tours, chef demos and handling tips.
  • Mixers: Virtual networking opportunities to connect from across the globe in a relaxed way.
  • Sourcing meetings: Allows participants to develop partnerships to advance business. Applications are due July 6 on pma.com. Contact ljaneka@pma.com with questions.
