Family Tree Farms names global development chief

Family Tree Farms has hired Gerome Raco as executive director of global development.
 
The newly created position will direct and develop global strategy and international development opportunities with primary focus on Reedley, Calif.-based Family Tree’s rapidly developing international operations, according to a news release.
 
Raco has previously held sales leadership and category and product development roles with Fresh Produce Group of Australia, Holman Fresh/Freshmax Australia and Panda Ranch, the release said. 
 
“We are really looking forward to expanding our international opportunities and Gerome will be key to our success,” David Jackson, founder and owner of Family Tree Farms, said in the release.
 
Don Goforth, director of marketing, added, “Gerome brings a unique and remarkable understanding of worldwide markets with strong concentration to Asia and Europe. We are so happy to have him on board to bring new focus and direction to our global expansion.”
 
Family Tree Farms is a vertically integrated grower-shipper based in California with growing operations in the U.S., Mexico and Peru.
