Mastronardi recognized for package design, marketing

The Kingsville, Ontario-based company says it took home four PAC Global Awards for its branding.

Kingsville, Ontario-based Mastronardi Produce says it recently won four PAC Global Awards, which recognize excellence in brand marketing, package design and innovation. The company’s Sunset and Backyard Farms received honors.

Mastronardi said it had six nominations among brand marketing and sustainable packaging.

Its Sunset brand won two Best in Class awards for Wow Utopia strawberries and the Sunset Summer Series berries. The company also won two Awards of Distinction for the limited-edition Wow Mom strawberries and the new Backyard Farms hand-cut romaine and butterleaf lettuce.

“We are very excited to receive these awards which reflect our commitment to providing flavorful and innovative produce that speaks to consumers,” Paul Mastronardi, president and CEO of Mastronardi Produce, said in a news release. “Our in-house creative and packaging teams are incredible sources of talent and creativity. They do outstanding work to present our unique flavor offerings in a creative, eye-catching design that both stands out on the shelf and aligns with our sustainability values. I congratulate all the teams involved across the company that worked on these innovative designs and helped build these brands to where they are today.”
