Great Place To Work and Fortune recognized Wegmans Food Markets as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2025.

This is Wegmans’ 28th time being named to this prestigious list, this year coming in at No. 6.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized again as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For,” said Colleen Wegman, president and CEO of Wegmans Food Markets. ”At Wegmans, we live by a shared set of values that creates a culture of belonging, where all are treated with respect and where each person’s uniqueness is valued. We’ve always believed the best way to serve our customers is by first being a great place to work for our people, and in turn, we hear from our customers that Wegmans is a happy place, where all feel welcome. We couldn’t be more proud of everyone at Wegmans for living our values every day.”

Customers and employees will celebrate the honor on Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m. when mini cupcakes will be served at every Wegmans store. For customers who prefer a healthier option, Clementine tangerines will also be available.

Also on the list for the 28th time is Publix, which ranked at No. 42.

Publix is only one of four companies to be named to the list every year since its inception in 1998, according to a news release.

“Part of Publix’s mission statement is to be dedicated to the dignity, value and employment security of our associates,” said Publix CEO Kevin Murphy. “Being named to this list year after year is a testament to the philosophies George Jenkins founded our company on 95 years ago.”

The company says its commitment to promote from within is a key part of its culture, providing associates with the training needed to help them advance.

The Wonderful Company made the list as well, moving up six spots from its ranking last year to No. 85, according to a news release. One of the largest private enterprises in the United States, The Wonderful Company was the only agriculture enterprise included out of 100 honorees.

The organization owns and produces iconic, healthy brands, including FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Halos, Wonderful Seedless Lemons, Teleflora and JUSTIN and Lewis Cellars wines.

“We could not be prouder that Fortune has once again recognized the dedication and passion of our workforce by naming Wonderful as one of its top workplaces in the U.S.,” said Lynda and Stewart Resnick, co-owners and vice-chairman and chairman, respectively, of The Wonderful Company. “The heart of Wonderful is our people. We are grateful that our colleagues across all our businesses take great pride in the work they do to foster a supportive and high-trust environment and strive to give back. Their efforts bring our culture to life, ensuring not just that our businesses succeed but that our workplace thrives, and we leave the world a better place.”

This year’s list was selected through analytics and confidential employee feedback from more than 8.2 million U.S. employees. Companies are assessed on their ability to create a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status or any aspect of employee identity or job role.

“When you measure trust, you uncover the potential that exists in an organization,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “Employees at companies on this list have higher levels of trust in their leaders and in their organization, unlocking their creativity, passion and resilience.”

Editor-in-chief of Fortune Alyson Shontel adds, “Fortune is happy to have collaborated with Great Place To Work for the 28th year to recognize the 100 Best Companies to Work For. In a difficult macro environment with unprecedented challenges, these companies seemed to navigate their organizations toward steady and positive working environments for employees. Congratulations to all who were recognized.”

To qualify for the Fortune list, companies must have 1,000 or more employees in the U.S., be Great Place To Work Certified organizations, and have consistently high survey responses across the 60 statements that constitute the Trust Index survey.

Other retailers included on the list were Target at No. 55 and Walmart at No. 100.
