Misionero’s organic line moves to new packaging

Misionero’s organic line moves to new packaging

Misionero Vegetables, Gonzales, Calif., is packing it Earth Greens organic line into packaging that uses less plastic and features a peel and reseal lid.

The move shows more of the products, cuts plastic by 20% and allows users to reseal the package multiple times, according to a news release.

The packaging has been used for the Misionero’s Garden Life conventionally grown brand.

“We received an enormous amount of positive feedback from retailers and consumers when we launched the Garden Life line with the peel and reseal functionality,” Nicole Zapata, marketing manager, said in the release. “The transparent containers with bright colored graphics make the salads stand out on shelves, while effectively utilizing the space.”

The organic Earth Greens line will transition to the new packaging in October, according to the release.
