Homegrown Organic Farms increases its offerings of acreage certified with Equitable Food Initiative

Porterville, Calif.-based Homegrown Organic Farms is continuing to increase the amount of its acreage certified with the Equitable Food Initiative, says Elise Smith, marketing manager.

Porterville, Calif.-based Homegrown Organic Farms is continuing to increase the amount of its acreage certified with the Equitable Food Initiative, says Elise Smith, marketing manager.

“We will be introducing Equitable Food Initiative-certified persimmons this fall and citrus in winter,” Smith said.

Homegrown Organic Farms, employee-owned since 2021, grows, packs and sells organic fruit throughout North America. The marketer’s main categories are citrus, tree fruit, blueberries and grapes.

Homegrown Organic Farms offers private label packing as an option, Smith said.

Besides EFI-certification, Homegrown Organic Farms offers organic produce with Regenerative Organic Certification, Smith said.
