Jason Duran has joined the sales team of Braga Fresh, Soledad, Calif.

He has a background in organics, according to a news release, with more than 25 years at Whole Foods. He started at the retailer in Austin, Texas, while in college, starting in the meat department and transferring to produce.

“I was hooked immediately,” Duran said in a Braga Fresh news release.

After graduating, he started at a Whole Foods that had recently opened in Chicago.

“I made it a mission to learn all aspects of retail produce, which is why I held many positions over my time with Whole Foods,” he said in the release.
He was a regional produce buyer, a distribution facility team leader and Midwest region produce coordinator.

“We are pleased to have Jason join our team as we continue to grow; his experience with Whole Foods Market and the organic produce industry will have an immediate positive impact on our team,” Greg McAlister, vice president of sales at Braga Fresh, said in the release.
